THANKS TO TENG FAMILY, THOUSAND OF MASKS COME TO UHS
UHS has increased its supply of COVID-19 masks, thanks to a family connection and a generous donation that links medical supply companies on Long Island with UHS’ warehouse in the Southern Tier.
Earlier this month, UHS physician Ann Teng, DO, MPH, learned that BTZ Medsolution, a medical supply distribution company, would be donating half a million masks to hospitals and individual citizens in need.
FREE FACE MASK DISTRIBUTION
Alongside the Bay Terrace Community Alliance, Inc. we will be distributing FREE face masks on Sunday, December 6th here at the Commonpoint Queens Bay Terrace Center 212-00 23rd Ave, Bayside, N.Y. 11360. The distribution will be inside the sports complex from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This a FREE event and everyone is welcomed. UNG ORGANIZES PPE GIVEAWAY AT WOMEN FOR AFGHAN WOMEN
On December 2nd, State Committeewoman Sandra Ung partnered with BTZ Medsolution and Kong Ye Medical Supplies to host a PPE Giveaway at Women for Afghan Women, a nonprofit organization that provides a variety of community services in the Fresh Meadows area.
Committeewoman Ung said, “When I was a nonprofit attorney working with victims of domestic violence, I saw how critical service providers are in empowering survivors to build lives free of abuse. With caseworkers and staff who speak a diversity of languages, Women for Afghan Women is an important organization for thousands of clients in the Fresh Meadows and Flushing community. NORTH SHORE COMPANIES PROVIDE 100K MASKS FOR COHEN’S CHILDREN HOSPITAL AS COVID-19 CASES SURGE
Two north shore companies are teaming up to keep medical workers safe as coronavirus cases spike.
BTZ Medsolution Incorporated partnered with Konye Medical Supplies Incorporated to donate 100,000 masks to Cohen Children's Hospital.
Congressman Tom Suozzi said with new cases on the rise across the island, it's more important now than ever to equip medical workers with protective gear.
"The more careful we are with mask wearing, with washing our hands, with watching where we stand, the more likely we can stay safe during this time," Suozzi said Monday.
Suozzi also presented the CEO’s of both companies with plaques for their generosity.
